the difference in now and then
does it affect who you are?
can you choose who to be?
how could you change your name
and yet all be the same?

did I?
Did I write it in a book,
long ago,
before "I" was born?

Or was it in a dream?
From the woods
the moist and the dark I long,
where it was coming from.
